Growing up in the world of real estate with my mom, who has 32 years of
excellence and expertise, it was only natural to join the ranks in the early
1990's in Seattle, Washington. I moved to Kihei, Hawaii in the late
nineties to start my family in an atmosphere that the Keiki (children) and
family come first. In 2005, once my children were both in school, I decided
it was time to get re-licensed and join the world again.
I jumped back in at the tail end of the height of the market, it has been
interesting, exiting, challenging, and constantly changing, but I have loved
every minute.
I learned from a very young age that constant knowledge in the field you
chose would make the difference between mediocre and success. I found that
you are never given a problem without the ability to find the solution; no
challenge is too large to overcome. There are no problems only situations
that require solutions, that's why I believe in having a professional team
as well as an entire network of professionals to brainstorm with, each
possessing years of knowledge from all walks of life.
As we all know, real estate changes on a daily basis nationally and
internationally. It is most important to make sure that you're working with
a team of professionals that put you, the client at the forefront whether
you are buyer or seller. Being part of this team, I strive to stay informed
of all changes as they are happening. In the last five years, we have seen
the fast feeding frenzy where there seemed to be no limit in sight as to
where the prices and the fangled mortgages were heading, the complete stall,
to the now endless changes of the markets.
What an interesting time to be a Realtor, with so many changes and
challenges taking place in the US and around the world from technology to
economics; we are seeing major changes from the way many industries do
business to how consumers decide on what to purchase, and we are all hungry
for information.
As a Realtor, I believe we all need to be tech savvy, constantly continuing
education, provide excellent customer service, have current market
knowledge, an understanding of international sales process and
requirements, and have a great network of tried and trusted lenders, title
agents, and other industry professionals needed throughout a real estate
transaction.
Following these beliefs are an important requirement of being a part of our
network and our team at Keller Williams Realty Maui. It is our
goal to stay current on all the new changes taking place, and how they
affect our clients and our industry.
